Change of plans. Racing NOLA instead.

Ok, so I changed my mind. I never had a good feeling about Snickers. NOLA is not as far away, it seems like it is a better feels SAFE....less stress. It does not have the hills I want but it is close to me!
I'm excited.
Monday: 85 minutes w/ M&D, good pace
Tuesday: 78 minutes w/ K
Wednesday: 2.5 mile w/u, 5X a mile at 5:32 avg, 3 mile c/d
Legs are feeling a bit better but I'm still being careful.

Less stress is always huge for racing. Those mile repeats are amazing! We have the same marathon PR and there is no way I could pull that off. You're going to do great at NOLA!

NOLA sounds fun! Much better place for a marathon. I am really learning the hard way the importance of resting after big races. Great job at taking it easy for run so you can fly later, when it matters:)

Is this New Orleans RnR? Sorry! I am not familiar with all the races. :)

Also, great workouts! I agree about low-stress races.

Hi, well done with your past races and winning too!
Looks like your training is going very well and your sessions are spot on.
Take care.

NOLA is a great choice! I ran the half back in 07 before it was a RNR. The new course looks sick fast--at least through the first half. Plus, NOLA is just plain awesome even if you're not staggering drunk down Bourbon St. :)

Holy fast miles! That's awesome. I agree that you're just gonna smoke it.

PS So nice to find another competitive mom out there. Looking forward to following along with your adventures :)
